“Put my mind at rest”

As someone who is ‘Hospital Phobic’ Mr Qureshi fully explained the procedure, and put me at ease both before, during and after the surgery. On the subsequent check-up visit he really removed any further concerns I had about my cataract surgery and put my mind at rest.

“Excellent doctor, calm and professional”

Polite and friendly gentleman with a manner inspiring confidence in his advice, information and action. Caring attitude throughout consultation and a very capable surgeon who carried out painless Cataract surgery on both my eyes to my entire satisfaction. Very pleased and grateful with the very high standard of care delivered.

“Thank you Mr. Qureshi!”

Have worn glasses since I was five, seventy odd years ago. After cataract surgery and having lens implants in both eyes can see perfectly, Thanks to Mr Kashif Qureshi and staff at Bexhill Hospital.

“Sincere thanks to you all”

As a very scared patient, I was put completely at ease, the procedure was absolutely unbelievable. Within thirty minutes it was done. The staff from the bookings to the preparation are second to none, as is the surgery. I have now been given renewed vision. My sincere thanks to you all.

“The team was very pleasant and efficient”

The complete experience was seamless. All the members of the team were very pleasant and efficient throughout the process. After getting home and removing the patch over my eye I was surprised how much clearer everything was, even after only a few hours since Mr Qureshi had performed the cataract surgery.

“I would recommend Mr. Qureshi to anyone”

Brilliant. Explained everything extremely well, was respectful, calm and efficient- with a nice dash of sense of humour. Would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Qureshi to anyone.

“I now have 20:20 vision for the first time in my life”

The whole experience was very easy. Everything was clearly explained from the first consultation in Tenterden opticians to my follow-up appointments. The first eye operation was so good I opted to go for the other eye very soon after the first. I now have near 20:20 vision for the first time in my life.

Concerned about Cataracts?

Cataracts are one of the commonest cause of visual problems throught the world. But the good news is they can be very successfully treated. Not only that, but even if you have been a lifelong wearer of spectacles it is often possible to restore your vision and do away with the need for glasses at the same time!

Worried about Macular Degeneration?

Macular degeneration is caused by problems at the back of the eye on the retina - specifically an area called the macula. In fact age-related macular degeneration is a common and serious cause of vision loss in the UK. But the good news is that some types of macular degeneration CAN be treated...

Are you a Diabetic with Eye Problems?

Diabetes is a serious condition in which the body does not produce enough insulin to adequately control the level of glucose in the blood. This causes serious problems in the eyes. Over time new, abnormal blood vessels can grow in the back of the eye and these need laser treatment to prevent loss of vision.

Mr. Kashif Qureshi BSc MBBS FRCOphth

Consultant Ophthalmologist

I have been the lead for revalidation for all ophthalmologists in the UK for the past 4 years and a part of the professional standards committee of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. I am also the clinical lead for ophthalmology in East Sussex Health Trust.

There are two procedures that I perform that no one else, or very few people perform in the UK. Firstly I perform YAG laser vitreolysis to treat floaters, which a handful of people do in the UK and I may be the most experienced person treating with this laser. Secondly I offer a laser treatment for dry AMD called 2RT nanopulse laser which has a randomised controlled trial supporting it's benefit in treating patients with dry AMD, for which there is no other treatments. I am the only person in the UK who offers this treatment and has experience treating people with this laser.
